Alnmouth Beach is one of the quieter stretches on this coast, a clean run of sand and marram dunes where the River Aln spills into the sea. The pastel-fronted village of Alnmouth sits just behind, and the station is a short walk to the west — handy if you’re coming up by train and want the beach almost to yourself.
