St Michael’s is one of the grandest parish churches in Northumberland, a broad, light Perpendicular building of the 15th century near the old walls of Alnwick. Battlemented and full of good medieval detail, it came through the border wars better than most. It’s a short walk from the castle and The Alnwick Garden, and about 5km from Alnmouth station.
