Brizlee Tower is an 80-foot Gothick folly of 1781, raised by the 1st Duke of Northumberland on a rise in Alnwick’s Hulne Park, its design often attributed to Robert Adam. Hulne Park is open to walkers but closed to cars, so reaching the tower means a decent hike in from Alnwick to find it standing over the treetops. Worth it for the views out across the Aln valley.
