The Tankerville Arms is a rose-covered stone pub in the pretty village of Eglingham, on the quiet back road between Alnwick and Wooler. Good country cooking, a warm bar and rooms if you’re touring the Cheviot foothills. Chathill station is about 11km to the north-east.
