Approximate location — this spot is pinned to the nearest village, so the exact point may be a little way off.
Whitewater Dash — also called Dash Falls — is a long ribbon of white water tumbling down the quiet northern back of Skiddaw. It’s a walk in, not a roadside stop: a track climbs from the Orthwaite road across open, empty fell for a couple of miles to the falls, which feed the beck below Skiddaw House, one of the remotest spots in the Lakes. There’s real solitude out this way. Best in spate after rain. The nearest station, Aspatria, is a good drive away to the north-west.
