Catrigg Force
Local highlightCatrigg Force is a two-stage waterfall tucked into a wooded gorge above Stainforth, reached by a walled green lane that climbs steeply out of the village — around a mile on foot. It’s a quiet alternative to the busier Dales falls, dropping in two leaps into a shaded pool. Settle station is under 4km to the south, so it works well as a walk straight from the train without a car.
