Langcliffe is arranged around a leafy green just north of Settle, an old estate village with a fountain and rows of neat cottages. It’s a good starting point for the hidden waterfall of Catrigg Force and the limestone pastures of Winskill above. The Settle–Carlisle railway runs close by. Stainforth is the next village up the dale.
