The Ure falling in three broad limestone steps through Wensleydale.
Aysgarth Falls is a triple flight of waterfalls where the River Ure spills over broad limestone steps through wooded Wensleydale. The Upper, Middle and Lower Force spread across nearly a mile of the valley, and the middle fall had a memorable cameo in Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves. It’s free to visit, with a National Park centre, café and pay-and-display car park, and short paths down to each viewpoint. They’re at their thundering best after heavy rain.
