A friendly, unpretentious market town that makes a good walking base — the Cotswold Way runs through, and paths lead out to Belas Knap, the neolithic long barrow on the hill above. On the edge of town sits Sudeley Castle, burial place of Katherine Parr. Ashchurch for Tewkesbury is the nearest mainline station, about 11km west.
