The fountain at Stanway is the tallest gravity-fed fountain in the world, throwing a single jet around 90 metres up from the canal in front of this honey-stone Jacobean manor. It runs only at set times on open afternoons, so check the schedule. The house and its restored water garden near Winchcombe open on limited days in summer for a charge. Evesham is the nearest station, about 12km north.
