Reached by a summer rowing-boat ferry across the Blyth from Southwold, or a longer walk round by the bridge, Walberswick is a village of greens and cottages best known for crabbing off its creek — there’s a long-running open championship each summer. The Anchor pours Adnams beer and does food near the beach. Southwold’s shops and pier are just over the water.
