A quiet village on the edge of the great Abernethy pine forest, Nethy Bridge suits anyone who likes their wildlife on foot. Red squirrels and crested tits live in the old Caledonian pines, and the RSPB’s Loch Garten reserve, long famous for its ospreys, is a short drive away. Gentle paths follow the River Nethy. Carrbridge station is about 10km to the west.
