A sandy beach on a freshwater loch, which isn’t something you find every day. Loch Morlich sits in Glenmore Forest below the Cairngorms, ringed with Scots pine, and its shore is a favourite for paddling, kayaking and picnics on a warm day. Open access with a car park nearby. Combine it with Cairngorm Mountain just up the road.
