A landmark turreted hotel standing opposite Aviemore’s station, its wood-panelled bar well stocked with Cairngorm beers, local gins and whiskies. Being bang in the middle of Aviemore, it’s an easy place to start or end a day in the mountains, with the ski road and the Rothiemurchus trails close by.
