The precarious hump of Carrbridge’s old packhorse bridge, built in 1717 and reckoned the oldest stone bridge in the Highlands, is the village’s calling card, though floods have since worn it down to a thin, roofless arch over the Dulnain. Carrbridge also hosts the annual Golden Spurtle World Porridge Championship, and the Landmark Forest Adventure Park sits at its south end. It’s a stop on the Highland Main Line, just north of Aviemore.
