Kenmore is a trim model village laid out in 1760 by the Earl of Breadalbane at the east end of Loch Tay, its whitewashed cottages set around an arched square by the church. From the stone bridge you get a cracking view straight down the loch to the hills. It’s a good base for boat trips and lochside walks. The nearest station is a fair way off at Pitlochry, about 21km north-east.
