Ilmington gathers honey stone and black-and-white cottages around a green at the foot of the Cotswold scarp. The downs above rise to 261m, the highest ground in Warwickshire. The village keeps up a morris-dancing tradition that goes back generations, revived by its own side in 1974, and the Howard Arms on the green does food and rooms.
