Findhorn sits at the mouth of its bay on the Moray coast, best known for the Findhorn Foundation, the eco-community and spiritual centre that grew up here from the 1960s. Beyond that there’s a wide sandy beach, a sailing club and good birdwatching over the tidal flats. It’s a short trip from the floral town of Forres, whose station is about 5km to the south-west.
