Brodie Castle is a pink-harled Z-plan tower house near Forres, its 16th-century keep given a Scots Baronial makeover in the 1820s. The National Trust for Scotland runs it, and the parkland is famous for daffodils — there’s a national daffodil collection here, gorgeous in spring. Grounds are open year-round; the castle opens seasonally, with an admission charge. Forres station is about 5km east.
