Benromach at Forres is a small, hands-on distillery — one of Speyside’s smallest — quietly run by just a couple of people. Gordon & MacPhail took it over in 1993 and reopened it in 1998 after it had sat silent for years, keeping a traditional, low-tech way of working. The visitor centre runs paid tours, and Forres station is a few minutes’ walk away.
