Dallas Dhu stopped distilling in 1983 and has been kept ever since as a walk-round museum, more or less as it was left. Historic Environment Scotland runs it, so you can wander the mash house, still house and warehouses at your own pace on a paid ticket. It’s a couple of km south of Forres. Whisky-making may return here in future, but for now the museum is the draw.
