Nairn is a genteel old seaside resort on the Moray Firth, with long sandy beaches, a Victorian promenade and a working harbour. It sits in one of the drier, sunnier corners of Scotland, which made its name as a holiday town, and there are two championship links courses for the golfers. Trains stop right in town.
