A handsome inn in the estate village of Cawdor, a few minutes from Cawdor Castle of Macbeth fame. Inside are panelled bars, an award-winning whisky list and a good kitchen leaning on Highland produce. It makes a civilised lunch or dinner stop when you’re visiting the castle and gardens, with Nairn and the coast a short drive north-east.
