Ironstone houses, Tudor and Georgian, sit on the western edge of old Rockingham Forest at Brigstock, around a church that keeps Saxon work in its tower. Fermyn Woods lies just to the west — a country park in the surviving forest, known for the purple emperor butterflies that draw enthusiasts each summer. Corby station is about 6km to the north-west.
