Lowick is a small stone village, but its church is one of the county’s treasures. St Peter carries a rare octagonal lantern tower, the kind of crown you otherwise only see at Fotheringhay a few miles off, and inside are fine medieval stained glass and alabaster tombs. The village is often named among the prettiest in Northamptonshire, an easy detour off the Oundle roads.
