The Village Inn sits on the shore of Loch Long at Arrochar, with a beer garden looking across to the Cobbler. An old white house with rooms, it does food and local ales, and makes a friendly base for walking the Arrochar Alps. Arrochar & Tarbet station is a short way off, so you can reach it by train from Glasgow.
