On the shore of Loch Lomond at Luss, this distillery makes both gin and whisky and keeps a free, self-guided Discovery Centre you can wander round any day. Paid tastings and gin-blending sessions need booking, and there’s a licensed cafe and a shop. An easy stop if you’re passing through the village anyway. Helensburgh Upper station is about 11km to the south-west.
