On the east shore of Loch Lomond at Balmaha, the Oak Tree Inn is a firm favourite with West Highland Way walkers coming down off Conic Hill. It’s a stone-built inn with rooms and food all day, right by the water and the boatyard — a great spot to rest tired legs. Balloch station is about 9km to the south, though most walkers arrive on foot.
