Balloch sits at Loch Lomond’s southern tip, where the River Leven flows out of the loch, and it’s the main gateway into the national park from Glasgow — trains run right into the town. From the pier you can pick up loch cruises, and Loch Lomond Shores and Balloch Castle Country Park are both a short walk away.
