Geilston is a small National Trust for Scotland garden near Cardross, with a walled kitchen garden and a walk along the burn through the woodland. It’s an easy, unshowy place for an hour’s stroll. Handy, too — Cardross station is barely a kilometre away. It opens seasonally, so check the dates first.
