Drymen sits above the south-east corner of Loch Lomond, built around a village green with pubs and shops off it. It’s a popular first-night stop on the West Highland Way, a short detour from the main route, and the Clachan Inn on the green claims to be one of Scotland’s oldest licensed pubs. Balloch station is about 11km south-west.
