The Cobbler, also called Ben Arthur, is a Corbett — a Scottish hill between 2,500 and 3,000 feet — reaching 887m above Arrochar. Its ragged skyline of three rocky tops makes it one of the most recognisable hills in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs area, and it draws walkers and climbers up from the village despite its modest height. The true summit is the central peak, reached by threading through a hole in the rock and stepping out onto an exposed ledge, a proper scramble that plenty of people are happy to skip. It’s often climbed with Beinn Narnain next door, on a steady path up from the shore.
