The Outgate Inn is a quiet country pub at Outgate, on the lane between Hawkshead and Ambleside. It’s best known for its long-running jazz nights, which draw a crowd from across the south Lakes. Otherwise it’s a calm local for a pint and a meal away from the busier villages. You’ll need a car or the Hawkshead bus to get out here.
