A 16th-century village pub in Gaydon, out in the Feldon farmland east of the Fosse Way. It cooks straightforward, locally sourced food and keeps a decent range of cask ales, and sitting just off junction 12 of the M40 it makes a reliable stop off the motorway. A solid country local rather than a destination.
