The Falcon Inn is the dining pub of Fotheringhay, a stone village on the Nene best known as the place Mary, Queen of Scots was executed. It has taken Northamptonshire Dining Pub of the Year more than once, and its garden and conservatory look out on the tall 15th-century lantern tower of the village church. Stamford station is about 14km north.
