St Andrew’s is a Norman church on the Nene near Oundle, given a tall, wide chancel in 1338 when John Giffard founded a college of priests here — for a time the largest private collegiate foundation in England. The small limestone village of Cotterstock gathers around it, and the church is open to visitors.
