Right on the harbour at Lower Largo, The Crusoe Hotel takes its name from the village’s most famous son, Alexander Selkirk — the castaway behind Robinson Crusoe, whose statue stands just up the road. The bar and restaurant look out over the water, and it’s an easy walk along the shore from Leven, about 4km west.
