The South Causey Inn is a rambling country inn and estate near Stanley, spread across old farm buildings with grounds, fires and plenty of rooms. It’s a popular spot for weddings and events, and handy if you’re visiting nearby Beamish, the open-air museum, which is just a few minutes’ drive. Chester-le-Street station is about 8km to the south-east.
