Moccas Court is a Georgian house built in the 1770s for the Cornewall family, its parkland running down to a bend in the River Wye. The ancient oaks next door at Moccas Park and Gillian’s Wood are the ones diarist Francis Kilvert called the “grey old men of Moccas” back in 1876. House and garden open on Thursday afternoons from April to September and on National Garden Scheme days, with pre-booked group visits available at other times.
