Bodrhyddan Hall, near Rhuddlan, has been one family’s seat since the 15th century, and its gardens run to about eight acres: a box parterre and formal avenue near the house, the Pleasance, and a wooded dingle beyond. Opening is limited to a handful of days in season, with an admission charge. Rhyl station is about 4km to the north-west.
