A wide sweep of sand at the mouth of the Dee, Talacre Beach is backed by the Gronant and Talacre dunes and marked at its far end by the disused Point of Ayr lighthouse, standing out on the flats. The dunes are an SSSI and one of the strongholds of the natterjack toad. Open beach with paid parking; Prestatyn station is a few kilometres to the west.
