Red Rocks sits at the north-west tip of the Wirral near Hoylake, where sand dunes, reed beds and outcrops of red sandstone meet the sea. It’s a small nature reserve, good for wading birds, natterjack toads in the dunes and wide views out towards Hilbre Island and the Welsh coast. A quiet, breezy spot for a wander, especially towards evening. Hoylake station is about 1.5km east.
