West Street pairs a working vineyard with a cellar-door restaurant, so you can eat among the rows at Coggeshall. There’s a shop and booked tours as well. The old Blackwater wool town around it is full of timber-framed houses and a medieval barn — an easy pairing for the day. Kelvedon station is about 4km to the south-east.
