Felinfoel, on the edge of Llanelli, was the first brewery in Britain to put beer in cans, back in 1935 — a neat fit for a corner of Wales built on tinplate. The present brewery building dates from 1878, and it’s still a working, family-run business. Tours run at set times; Llanelli station is under 3km to the south.
