Llanrhidian runs downhill to the salt marshes of the Loughor estuary on north Gower, where flocks graze the flats that give Gower salt marsh lamb its name. The church of St Illtyd and St Rhidian stands on the slope, and a pair of weathered standing stones sit by the green. Weobley Castle looks out over the marsh a short way west.
