Barton Grange Farm Shop at Brock, just off the A6 north of Preston, is a big award-winning food shop with a bakery, deli counters of Lancashire cheese and smoked fish, and its own-made pickles and preserves. There’s a café too, and it shares a site with a large garden centre, so it’s an easy place to stock up and linger. Salwick is the nearest station, but this is really somewhere you drive to.
