The medieval parish church of Llansteffan, down in the estuary village beneath its ruined castle on the hill. It’s a quiet, unshowy church at the mouth of the Tywi, worth a look while you’re walking up to the castle and the sands. Ferryside station sits just across the water to the east, about 1.5km as the crow flies but a long way round by road.
