Llansteffan Beach is a broad stretch of estuary sand below the village’s ruined clifftop castle, where the Tywi opens into Carmarthen Bay. It’s a gentle, family beach at low water, with the castle walk climbing right above it. Across the river mouth sits Ferryside, the two facing each other over the estuary. The village is a short walk up the hill.
