St Michael’s is the old riverside church at Betws-y-Coed, a small fourteenth-century building set apart from the busy village centre near the station. Inside is a worn stone effigy of Gruffudd, said to be a great-nephew of Llywelyn the Great. Long since superseded by a larger Victorian church nearby, it’s kept as the historic parish church. Betws-y-Coed station is right beside it.
