Pont Fawr is a narrow, steeply humped three-arched bridge over the Afon Conwy at Llanrwst, its datestones giving 1636. Tradition credits the design to the architect Inigo Jones, though there’s no firm evidence he was involved. Just across the water sits the ivy-clad cottage of Tu Hwnt i’r Bont, a National Trust tearoom. Llanrwst station is a couple of hundred metres away.
